Laneway Festival Expands 2017 Lineup

The 2017 edition of St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival is shaping up as one of the biggest ever years for a festival that started out with just one show in Caledonian Lane, Melbourne in 2005.

In recent weeks we’ve seen D.D Dumbo and Young Thug added to the lineup, but now festival organisers have announced the triple j Unearthed winners who’ll feature at each of the five venues.

The Brisbane edition will see newly formed outfit Confidence Man take to the stage. The band, featuring members of The Jungle Giants and The Belligerents, have had their first track ever Boyfriend (Repeat) smashing out a huge amount of radio airplay lately and will hopefully be hitting up their local Laneway with a bunch of new music.

Melbourne’s Laneway will be graced by alt-pop duo IV League, while Canberra hailing rapper and 2015 Unearthed High finalist Genesis Owusu will perform at Sydney’s festival. Experimental-ambient musician Lonelyspeck is gearing up to play his local Adelaide festival, and finally Fremantle Laneway will see dream-poppers Dream Rimmy play what is sure to be a trippy AF set.

UPDATE 09/01/16: King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have been announced as the final addition to this year’s Laneway Festival lineup.
