Laneway Festival Grows With Five New Acts

Laneway Festival 2015 just got even bigger. Five winners of this year’s triple j Unearthed competition have been added to the festival bill, with each act set to perform exclusively at individual legs of the festival.

17-year-old singer and producer Olivia McCarthy, aka JOY, has been added to the Brisbane leg of Laneway 2015. McCarthy recently teamed up with Peking Duk to play the part of Kylie Minogue in their performance on triple j‘s Like A Version.

Sydneysiders I Know Leopard will perform at Laneway in their home city. The indie-pop four-piece have opened for acts such as Deep Sea Arcade, The Rubens and Goldfields in the past. Adelaide math rock outfit Sparkspitter will play in their home city.

Melbourne’s Laneway 2015 festivities will see the electronic duo of Edo and Dyl Thomas, aka Milwaukee Banks, take to the stage with their crisp, hip hop infused beats, while Perth indie-pop duo Dianas will perform in Fremantle.

The newly-added triple j Unearthed winners will join an already uber-impressive 2015 Laneway lineup, which includes acts such as FKA twigs, Royal Blood, Mac DeMarco, Flying Lotus and St Vincent.
