Lil Nas X has shaken the internet to its core by sharing new promo shots for his upcoming debut album Montero, which features the musician pregnant and glowing.
In the photos posted to his social media, the Atlanta artist wrote that he “can’t believe” he’s “finally announcing this.”
“SURPRISE! I can’t believe i’m finally announcing this,” he wrote. “My little bundle of joy MONTERO is due September 17, 2021.”
And as with basically anything Lil Nas X does, some in more conservative camps have responded with negativity, but the rapper took to Twitter to show that he’s not phased by any of it.
One user wrote that he looked “ugly”, and that she was sick of hearing about him. “You really on here calling a young mother to be ugly?” Lil Nas X responded.
He’s well aware of the irony behind the backlash, tweeting “N****s be like ‘you desperate for attention’ then proceed to give it to me.”
He closed out his trolling session with, “Let me get offline, all this negative energy is not good for the baby.”
