Former Middle East multi-instrumentalist, Bree Tranter, has gone solo and released a new single titled Winter. Bree Tranter sang the lead vocals on the band’s best known single, Jesus Came To My Birthday Party.
Townsville band, The Middle East, announced they were breaking up while on stage at this year’s Splendour In The Grass Festival; at the time, the band issued a statement explaining the break up saying:
I’m afraid if we continued any longer it would just be a moneygrab. I’d rather go hungry.
Since then, Bree Tranter has moved to Sydney and has been working with artists like Matt Corby, Passenger and Emma Louise.
