Damon Albarn has released the lead single The Marvelous Dream from his upcoming new album from his opera project named Dr. Dee. The 18-track album will be released on the 7th May.
Previously he released a trailer for the album, with the preview of a track named Apple Carts and footage of him recording the track at Albarn’s West London studio with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.
Dr Dee is inspired by John Dee, a mathematical polymath and advisor to Queen Elizabeth I. The video lingers on a shot of the John Dee House, which is a block of flats named after the same man.
