Listen: Eels Unveils New Song ‘New Alphabet’

Well, Eels is back. Real name Mark Oliver Everett, he has released a new track titled New Alphabet, which spans just over four minutes. The blues-infused track with dominating beats creates a strange hybrid of sound, yet in true Eels fashion, it works. The track, available below, is the first glimpse of the impending Eels album titled Wonderful, Glorious.

The album is set for release early 2013, February 5th to be exact. The release comes just in time for the 2013 installation of Splendour in the Grass.

The 13-track album (listing available below) should see E maintain his famous blues sound, which has earned him acclaim from the likes of Pitchfork and stacks more.
