Twitter/YouTube user 3rdEyeGirl has again come up with the goods for fans eager to hear new material from rock god Prince.
As Consequence of Sound reports, 3rdEyeGirl has posted a preview of a previously unreleased Prince song called Screwdriver. They reckon the track is in a style “similar to his jammy things that he’s being doing lately at his live shows”, and that the purple one’s voice has “a real Jimi thing to it”. Prince is currently doing six shows in three nights in Minneapolis. The intimate shows, staged at Dakota Jazz Club, are serving as rehearsals for an upcoming tour for Prince, and also to audition a new drummer for his live band.
Prince toured Australia last year to rave reviews, and also staged several of his infamous after parties, which fans flocked to en masse. The most reported of these was his end-of-tour party at the Hi-Fi Bar in Melbourne, which was ruined by rowdy fans.
