Ryan Adams has never hid the fact he is a passionate heavy metal fan and he recently performed an acoustic version of Iron Maiden’s 1986 classic Wasted Years while visiting BBC Radio 2 promoting his new album due out in October.
Surprisingly, the guitar work of Iron Maiden guitarists Dave Murray and Adrian Smith work well when played in the acoustic version, but it’s Adam’s haunting vocals that really make this version stand out.
