Listen to Tyler, the Creator’s New Song ‘Lumberjack’

For the last week or so, Tyler, the Creator has been hinting that new music may be on the way. Now, the rapper has shared a new single, titled ‘Lumberjack’.

Clocking in at just over two minutes, the track – with a beat that heavily samples ‘2 Cups of Blood’ by Gravediggaz and features ad libs from DJ Drama – sees Tyler in full flex mode, delivering rapid-fire bars like it’s effortless. It arrives alongside visuals directed by Tyler himself under his Wolf Haley nom de plume.

‘Lumberjack’ arrives after last week, billboards began popping up around the world with the phrase Call Me If You Get Lost and a phone number. Eager fans quickly pointed out that calling the hotline led to a voice recording of an exchange between Tyler and his mother.

Then, just days ago, Tyler dropped a teaser video titled ‘SIDE STREET’. In the 42 second clip, Tyler kisses a woman while holding a dog on a leash. Odd Future member Taco Bennett makes an appearance near the end of the clip, before the familiar Call Me If You Get Lost text appears. The text also appears at the end of the ‘Lumberjack’ video.

Tyler’s last album was 2019’s critically-acclaimed IGOR, which went on to win the Best Rap Album award at the Grammys the following year.
