Looks Like Green Day Will Announce An Australian Tour Tomorrow

UPDATE 06/10/16: It’s official, Green Day have announced a 2017 Australian Arena Tour.

Original Story: Remember when Frontier Touring head honcho Michael Gudinski told us to brace for the “biggest run of concerts you’ve seen… ever” in early 2017?

Well, since then, we’ve been hit by tour announcements from the likes of Guns N’ Roses, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band together with a reformed Jet and Justin bloody Bieber, and now, it looks like punk rock juggernauts Green Day are going to be the next massive deluge in the touring monsoon.

Frontier have just posted a (barely) cryptic teaser on their social media pages, featuring Green Day’s American Idiot lyric “Television dreams of tomorrow” – with tomorrow highlighted in bold.

The touring giants previously used a very similar strategy to tease both the Bieber and Springsteen tours, posting telling song lyrics in the days leading up to each big announcement.

And the timing for a Green Day tour announcement is also pretty much bang (bang) on. September just ended so naturally Billie Joe Armstrong & co are all wide awake and preparing to drop their brand new slice of politically-charged punk rawk Revolution Radio into our laps this Friday, 7th October.

Plus it’s been nearly three years since they visited our shores so the timing checks out on that side of things as well. You may recall their last jaunt was back in early 2014 as part of Soundwave (RIP).

So now we play the ol’ waiting game.

Tune in to Music Feeds tomorrow to find out when Green Day will come around.
