Mark Hoppus Says New Blink-182 Material Sounds Like Early ’00s Blink

Mark Hoppus has given fans an insight into what Blink-182‘s new music is sounding like.

Hoppus took to Twitter to tell fans, “Early days still but the newest blink-182 songs sound like they pick up where Take Off Your Pants and Jacket left off.”

Take Off Your Pants and Jacket was the band’s fourth album released back in 2001 featuring classic tracks like ‘The Rock Show’.

Of course, Tom DeLonge was still in the band back then and there are still rumours swelling that he could reunite with the band.

Hoppus has been in the studio with drummer Travis Barker, as seen on Snapchat. The snaps, however, have yet to show Matt Skiba, DeLonge’s replacement.

It may mean nothing at all but this comparison of the new material to an early album certainly has fans talking.

This album will be the band’s first since 2016’s California which was also their first with Skiba in the band.
