Mark Tremonti No Longer Playing Soundwave 2013

Since the Soundwave suggestions started flowing in, Mark Tremonti would have had to have been one of the most suggested out of the lot. AJ Maddah eventually delivered the goods in a recent announcement, but it’s all been taken back, as Tremonti has pulled out.

No reason has been given yet, other than Maddah’s personal opinion, but the Soundwave top dog tweeted the news only this evening. Apparently this is the end result of months of “harrasment” from the Alter Bridge / Creed guitarist turned solo artist and his team to get him on the bill, but he has taken up a better offer.

Now we wait with bated breath to see who has been chosen to rise to the occasion and replace Trmenoti on the bill. Stay tuned for that update.

Tremonti has now commented on the news, stating via Twitter that this comes down to miscommunication, with Soundwave waiting too long to book the band, who have previous commitments. He concluded by saying that the band will be Down Under as soon as possible.
