Maroochy Festival Drops Impressive 2016 Lineup

UPDATE 01/08/16: MMVAF has lost an act, but gained a crapload more.

The Maroochy Music & Visual Arts Festival is returning in 2016 with one of the most impressive lineups ever to hit Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

This year’s event will be headlined by local titans Matt Corby and Peking Duk, with performances from the likes of  Allday, George Maple, Client Liaison, City Calm Down, Ngaiire, Boo Seeka, Bad//Dreems, Vera Blue, Pop Cult & more.

The allstar bill of triple j favourites will hit the natural ampitheatre mainstage at Maroochydore’s Old Horton Park Golf Course on Saturday, 10th September.

While there’ll also be plenty of live music on offer over at MMVAF’s Champagne & Oyster Garden, including performances from jazz-pop chanteuse Inigo, futuristic shoegaze duo Forevr and Melbourne punk rockers BATZ.

And putting the “VA” in MMVAF, promoters have once again dished up a feast for the eyes with  specially commissioned work by renowned installation artist Amanda Parer on offer, alongside a visual art showcase from musician Bertie Blackman.

While a myriad of other artists’ work will also complement the festival’s trademark rolling greens, diving right into the fantastical, the surreal, and more.
