Sydney emo party purveyors Last Words are expanding their footprint in the Australian alternative music scene, officially launching a new booking agency, promoter and touring company dubbed Black Rose Collective.
Building on the DIY groundwork of Bad Mgmt, the newly-minted operation will focus on artist-friendly bookings, strategic opportunities and live shows, with an inaugural roster featuring Sienna Skies, Clay J Gladstone, st.sinner, Finding Better Health, Gratitude, Dreamcult, Father Deer Hands, Alera and Brooklyn Comic.
“We are passionate about putting artists in the right rooms, supporting their growth, and creating great live experiences with the scene at the centre.”
“We are excited to announce the launch of Black Rose Collective – the next evolution of our business as a dedicated booking agency, event promoter and touring company,” the team announced.

The team added that the new venture will remain firmly rooted in the local alternative community, with an emphasis on developing artists rather than simply slinging shows onto calendars.

Meanwhile, Last Words itself isn’t going anywhere.
The emo party brand will continue as the team’s flagship weekly event series at Bootleggers Newtown, as well as serving as the banner for many of its live events.
“Last Words continues as our flagship weekly event series at Bootleggers Newtown and the branding heart for many of our shows – bringing live bands, energy, and community together as it always has,” the team explained.
Black Rose Collective is now open for booking enquiries, promoter partnerships and other collaborations, with the team signalling plenty more to come as the new operation gets underway.
