Next year’s Big Day Out just got a whole lot, well… bigger, with a whole new crop of acts added to the bill in each city.
Most of these acts are playing the Festival’s new ‘Red Stage’ and are predominantly local artists. A couple of them will be on early at the Essential Stage. The acts will also join the triple j unearthed winners from each city, who were announced earlier this week.

In addition to the new acts, the ever-popular Lilypad is also making its return in 2013 – and organisers have declared it will be “badder than ever”. The 2013 Lilypad will include attractions such as Freak Factor, Lilypad House Party, Breakfast of Morons, Bogan Karaoke, the Xtreme Food Olympics and plenty more.
This is all on top of the first announcement of acts back in July, the arrival of festival food haven Chow Town, and a Mexican Wrestling Bar.
