Another day, another Soundwave 2015 lineup delay with festival organisers taking to Facebook today to let punters know the second lineup announcement they are expecting this week is not coming until “all t’s & i’s are crossed and dotted”.
“We are going the extra mile to ensure the 2nd and final announcement is one you’ll love,” reads the post. “And the minute that all t’s & i’s are crossed and dotted, we will be shouting it from the rooftops to share in the excitement with you. Watch this space for news of a date and thanks again for your patience.”
The much anticipated second lineup announcement was originally expected last week but Soundwave chief AJ Maddah postponed the news and instead confirmed he was adding even more acts to the bill.
Hoping to quell fan disappointment Maddah confirmed two of those are Nonpoint and Bayside and also said Ohio rockers Relient K were one of the three new bands he’s “trying to book”. He added that the rest of the second lineup would follow in the “next week.” The week has come and gone and according to Soundwave, the lineup is not yet ready to be announced.
For weeks now, fans have been awaiting the second lineup announcement for the summer 2015 festival, which Maddah previously said includes “around 14 bands” left over for a second reveal as well as a “Justice League Of Rock” supergroup.
Here’s hoping the full Soundwave 2015 lineup, which already includes headline acts Faith No More, Slipknot and Marilyn Manson, will be revealed very, very soon.
