Mumford & Sons have taken a break from the band in the latest music video for current single Hopeless Wanderer, instead tagging a troupe of fairly recognisable actors and comedians to handle the musical duties and, just as you’d expect, hilarity ensues.
Mumford & Sons clearly did their research on modern funnymen – Jason Sudeikis stars as main man Marcus Mumford, Will Forte as Ted Dwane, The Hangover’s Ed Helms as Ben Lovett and the one and only, always glorious Jason Bateman as the beloved Winston Marshall.
Playing in grassy fields, walking dirt roads, carrying instruments and, uh, some boats, staring deeply into one another’s eyes… The troupe have clearly done their Mumford research while bringing plenty of their own traits to the table. Like passionate intra-band make out sessions. Fingers crossed this is the start of something beautiful between music and comedy.
