Murs & 9th Wonder and R.A. The Rugged Man announce Australian tour May 2011

Murs & 9th Wonder and R.A. The Rugged Man are returning once more to Australia in May 2011 to tour, having not made it out last year after the Rap City Summer Throwdown 2010 was canceled.

Murs, one of the most well established MCs from the US underground and has earned himself quite the reputation, working with such distinguished crews as 3 Melancholy Gypsies (3MG), Living Legends, and Felt (with Slug of Atmosphere). No stranger to our shores, having sold out his previous solo tours, proving his fanbase stretches halfway across the globe, Murs is for the very first time bringing over his partner in crime, veteran producer 9th Wonder. Having worked with an impressive list of artists including Little Brother, EPMD, De La Soul, Mary J. Blige, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Drake, Buckshot, Destiny’s Child, Erykah Badu, Ludacris, Jean Grae and plenty more, 9th Wonder promises to add a new dimension to the Murs show, well worth catching

R.A. The Rugged Man’s pedigree stretched back all the way to 1992, the Long Island New York native having built up a solid fanbase in that time, having worked with some of the true greats of the genre such as Notorious B.I.G., Mobb Deep, Sadat X, Chuck D of Public Enemy, Jedi Mind Tricks, Kool G Rap, Wu-Tang Clan, Erick Sermon and Alchemist amongst others. Renowned for his energetic lyricism as well as his frank and confronting lyrical content, touching on his troubled youth and brushed with mental illness, his live show has been alternatively described as both lovable and slightly grotesque. Either way it’s never been said to be boring or anything other than captivating.

These two don’s of the genre will be making the rounds in early may this year, visiting Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide while they’re out.
