*N SYNC & Backstreet Boys Members Are Making A Sharknado-Style Zombie Western Movie

At long last, the harrowing boy band wars of the nineties have finally come to an end, with news that the members of rival dreamboat acts Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC are laying down their arms to join forces for a new zombie-western.

As Entertainment Weekly reports, the movie will be written and directed by Backstreet Boys heartthrob Nick Carter, who will also star alongside his wife Lauren Kitt, former bandmate AJ McLean and NSYNC’s Joey Fatone.

If that wasn’t exciting enough, Carter is also on a mission to make battling the zombie apocalypse a multi-generational boyband effort, attempting to enlist the services of One Direction’s token bottle-blonde, Niall Horan, to play his little bro.

“Ok @NiallOfficial I know we’re from different generations but… would you like to play my brother in this zombie movie with me?” Carter tweeted.

Plans for the flick, dubbed Dead 7, were officially unveiled at the annual pop culture mecca that is San Diego Comic Con over the weekend, with producing duties to be fielded by The Asylum, the same studio that brought us such awesomely unapologetic straight-to-DVD stinkbombs as Sharknado.

Dead 7 is the story of a ragtag band of gunslingers who must rid a small town of a zombie plague in a post-apocalyptic West,” reads a press release from the peeps at Asylum (via Entertainment Weekly). “Carter will play Jack, the reluctant hero who unites the outlaws to face the zombie menace.”

What a time to be alive.
