The guestimated arrival date of ‘before Christmas’ for Of Mice & Men’s new album seems to be fairly spot on so far. The post-hardcore identities have checked in from the studio as they prepare to begin pre-production for the record, which they already seem fairly stoked on.
When the band were last in town for Soundwave 2013, frontman Austin Carlile confirmed that tracks were already starting to take shape, and were indeed on his iPhone at the time. This update is a little more firm, with the band seemingly on schedule to have this bad boy out before Xmas.
The record will be the follow-up to 2011’s The Flood, which was re-released with 4 extra tracks, so we have some idea of where they will be taking their sound this time round.
Aussie fans are in prime position to witness the new goods live: the band will be in town with Bring Me The Horizon this coming October, and by that stage, the tracks as sure to be beyond iPhone level.
