Parkway Drive Add Extra Shows To 20th Anniversary Australian Tour

Are you a Parkway Drive fan from Brisbane or Melbourne, currently feeling gutted because the bands’ 20-year anniversary gigs sold out in less than an hour and you missed the boat on tickets? Well, good news! The Byron Bay metalcore titans have just added two extra shows to their tour itinerary, so you’ve officially got another crack.

Parkway have announced additional dates in each city to cater to demand, with an extra Brisbane show added to kick off the tour at the Entertainment Centre on Wednesday, 18th September, and a bonus Melbourne date at John Cain Arena on Tuesday, 24th September.

The shows will not only mark the band’s first headlining tour of their homeland in over five years, but also their first-ever arena tour here as well – one had been planned for 2020 on their Viva the Underdogs world tour, but was tragically cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

What’s more, Parkway are bringing a massive tour package along for the ride, with US metalcore heavyweights I Prevail and The Ghost Inside and Melbourne rising stars Void Of Vision on support duties.

The tour will also head to arena-sized venues in Sydney, Adelaide and Perth this September. The Perth date has also sold-out, while only a handful of tickets remain for Sydney and Adelaide.

In a press statement, Parkway frontman Winston McCall described the upcoming shows as “the biggest headlining tour we have done anywhere, ever, full stop.”

“[It’s] a celebration of a 20-year journey,” he said. “This is one for the history books.”
