Paul Dempsey Announces 2016 National Tour

Today, Paul Dempsey welcomes into the world his brand new full-length album Strange Loop. To celebrate the day in style, the beloved troubadour has announced a run of headline shows across the country this August and September.

Dempsey will be making his way through major Australian cities and some regional centres, kicking things off on Saturday, 6th August in Victoria’s Castlemaine, before stopping by Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne, Geelong, Mornington and finishing up in Meeniyan.

For fans who can’t wait that long, you’ll be able to see Paul Dempsey perform select songs from Strange Loop on a string of east coast in store appearances this weekend to celebrate the release of the album.

Strange Loop arrives in our laps seven years after the Something for Kate frontman’s solo debut, Everything Is True, and features recently unveiled tracks Morningless and seven minute epic opener The True Sea.

“With every new song and each new record you just hope to chisel everything a little cleaner than last time, paint the scenery in more precise detail and give some extra dimensions to the stories and also to have as much fun as possible creating all the accompanying noise,” Demspey explains of the new the record. “I feel completely satisfied that I’ve done that with this record.”
