Hailing from Greenwich, New York, this duo captivated the world’s attention with the haunting When I’m Small from their stylish 2009 debut, Eyelid Movies. With live performances as captivating as their film clips, New York duo Phantogram are ready to bring their elegant electronic pop to Australia for Splendour In The Grass 2014, and two more intimate sideshows.
With another album under their belt, the critically acclaimed album Voices, along with many an acclaimed live show, Australian audiences are gearing up to see this pair make their soaring, cinematic, electronica-tinged rock come alive this June.
Joining them will be nomadic and enigmatic composer Thomas Arsenault, who goes by the moniker Mas Ysa, who will bring his unique blend of triumphant, danceable, melancholy folk music to Australia for the first time. With his newly released EP Worth gaining critical praise, in the words of Pitchfork, “You find yourself asking why it took him so long to release something in the first place”.
Tickets go on sale at 9am (AEST), Friday, 9th May.
