A special, one-off memorial concert has been announced in honour of Phil Emmanuel, who passed away at age 65 in May this year.
The concert, taking place in early August, will “be a chronicle of Phil’s journey, with bands and colleagues from the beginning, to music icons he shared the stage with, to some of the super-talented young guns he was fostering.”
Among the guitarists and artists performing at the concert are Doug Parkinson, Graeme Connors, James Blundell and Phil’s own brother, Tommy. Tommy Emmanuel shared some heartbreaking words on Facebook about Phil shortly after his passing.
All profits from the event will go to Australian charity Support Act. All the info you need on the event can be found below.
