The Foo Fighters will headline the final night of Belgium’s 2012 Pukkelpop festival in what has been described as a ‘meaningful’ and ‘symbolic gesture’ by the organisers. The Foo Fighters were scheduled to headline last years festival before a massive storm ripped through the site, 5 people were killed and over 70 were injured causing the cancellation of the festival all together. Strong winds ripped up trees and tore down towers and television screens, tents were blown away and the campsite was flooded.
Pukkelpop organisers will offer food and drink vouchers as compensation to the people who attended the festival in 2011.
