Continuing their annual tradition, everyone’s favourite 3am TV program, Rage have dropped their annual list of the year’s most popular videos, as voted by the public and not entirely surprisingly Sia’s Chandelier has nabbed the top spot.
Chet Faker caps off a hugely successful year with his ode to roller-skating video for Gold being voted into second place. Impressively, two of his other clips for Built on Glass tracks Talk Is Cheap and 1998 also feature in the top 50.
Gold was followed respectively in the countdown by Queens Of The Stone Age’s Smooth Sailing, Slipknot’s The Devil In I and Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off. Other notable mentions include Alt-j who scored two entries in the top 50 with Hunger Of The Pine and Every Other Freckle, as did Violent Soho with Saramona Said and Fur Eyes.
Many homegrown acts made the 2014 list including, Amity Affliction, Courtney Barnett, Hilltop Hoods, Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, Northlane, The Veronicas, Client Liaison, DZ Deathrays, King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard, Flight Facilities, San Cisco, Russell Morris, Twelve Foot Ninja and Magic Hands.
