Red Hot Chili Peppers Are Touring Australia in 2023 With Post Malone

Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced they’ll bring their world tour in support of their new album Unlimited Love to Australia early next year, playing several stadium shows in January and February 2023. The funk-rock legends will be joined on the road by rapper Post Malone, whose latest album is Twelve Carat Toothache.

The two artists previously teamed up at the 2019 Grammys, performing the RHCP cut ‘Dark Necessities’ onstage together. The run of dates will kick off at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium on Sunday, 29th January before continuing along to Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

Red Hot Chili Peppers’ First Australian Tour Since John Frusciante’s Return

Red Hot Chili Peppers last toured Australia in early 2019. Since then, they’ve reintroduced guitarist John Frusciante, who performed on the classic albums Blood Sugar Sex Magik, Californication and By the Way. They’ve also recorded two new albums: April’s Unlimited Love and the forthcoming Return of the Dream Canteen (out 14th October).

Unlimited Love was RHCP’s first album since 2016’s The Getaway and it saw them reunite with producer Rick Rubin. The tracks ‘Black Summer’, ‘Poster Child’ and ‘Not the One’ were all released as singles.

Post Malone’s latest, meanwhile, arrived in June 2022 and includes The Weeknd collab ‘One Right Now’ and ‘Cooped Up’ with Roddy Ricch. The follow-up to 2019’s Hollywood’s Bleeding also features appearances from Doja Cat, The Kid LAROI, Fleet Foxes‘ Robin Pecknold and more.
