Red Hot Chili Peppers Bassist Flea Did Handstands On Stage In Hobart As Power Cuts Out After First Song

Well that’s one way to do it.

Legends Red Hot Chili Peppers took to Hobart last night to kick off their highly anticipated Australian tour and, as luck would have it, the venue’s power cut out after the first song. But that didn’t stop Flea from making sure the show went on.

After the band played their opening song ‘Can’t Stop’, the band, well, stopped. According to ABC, a concertgoer said that the microphones cut out one by one as the band played their second song of the night ‘Pea’ until only Flea’s microphone was left functioning.

Flea began singing solo until his mic was also cut. But, ever the entertainer, Flea broke out into full on acrobatics, doing handstands across the stage for a good 15 to 20 minutes before the power was restored.
