Chad Smith, best known as being the drummer in a little known band called The Red Hot Chili Peppers (I know i haven’t heard of them either) is releasing a Solo Album titled ‘Chad Smith’s Bombastic Meatbats: Meet The Meatbats’. It’s due out in the US on September 15, and i’d say roughly somewhere around that for Australia.
Chad Smith, who also plays in rock god supergroup ‘Chickenfoot’ (come to think of it when you have satch in your band its always going to be a supergroup) wrote and recorded the album at his Malibu pool house. The album contains 10 tracks and is inspired by several Brit rock bands from previous generations.
“Led Zeppelin’s John Bonham, Ginger Baker from Cream, Deep Purple with Ian Pace…those groups were the ones that I really loved.”
