Red Hot Summer Tour Postponed Until 2022 Due To Coronavirus

Organisers of The Red Hot Summer Tour have announced they’ve rescheduled remaining dates for 2022 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The festival’s 10th anniversary run featured a lineup that included headliners Hunters & Collectors along with James Reyne, The Living End, The Angels, Baby Animals, Killing Heidi and Boom Crash Opera.

After kicking off back in January, the tour had an initially successful run before the COVID-19 situation forced organisers to move remaining dates to October. Those three shows – in Kiama (NSW), Barossa (SA) and Ballarat (VIC) – are now scheduled to take place in March 2022, with all previously-announced artists confirmed for the new dates.

“Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions surrounding mass gatherings, we have made the heartbreaking decision not to proceed with the upcoming October dates,” commented promoter Duane McDonald in a statement.

“The health and welfare of our patrons, artists, staff, and residents of the local areas are our number one priority. All artists have agreed to play the three shows in the summer of 2022, which we are very thankful for. Unfortunately, 2021 was not an option due to artist availabilities. All of these events are sold-out, and we hope that you choose to keep your ticket and join us on the new rescheduled dates.”

Refunds will be available from point of purchase for those who cannot make the new dates.
