Rolling Stones 50th Anniversary Australian Tour On The Cards

The Rolling Stones could be coming to our shores in 2012 as part of their planned 50th Anniversary tour. The only thing that is holding things back are negotiations between Mick and Keith, but it seems inevitable it will happen. Lately Keith has not been hiding the fact that he is keen to get back on the road for their golden anniversary and guitarist Ronnie Wood has just revealed the band “are on the verge of touring”.

According to live4ever, Ronnie Wood told the Radio Times that 2012 touring plans are close to being finalised:

Be lovely, wouldn’t it? That’s what we’re on the verge of…I dunno what the hell is gonna happen yet but we all feel we owe it to ourselves and to the people to do something. Basically, get the boys feeling comfortable with each other, ’cause we’re all ready to go individually. It’s just a matter of tying up loose ends and coming together as a unit.

And according to reports, there is every chance we will see them in Australia this year, goldcoast.com.au reports that The Rolling Stones have been in talks ‘planning another Aussie run’.
