Ruby Fields Announces ‘Half The Laugh’ 2025 Australian Tour

Ruby Fields has announced a national tour to kick off next month, taking her to capital cities across the east coast in June and August 2025. The tour comes in support of the indie-rock singer-songwriter’s latest single, ‘Half The Laugh’, which marks her second new single of 2025 following January’s ’92 Purebred’. The full list of dates, as well as ticketing information, can be found below.

Fields, originally from the Sutherland Shire but now based in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, has kept a relatively low profile since she finished touring in support of her debut album, 2021’s Been Doin’ It For A Bit. A live EP, Live At Repentance Creek Hall, was released the following year; it features stripped-back versions of five songs from the album. She and her band undertook a co-headlining tour with Hockey Dad in 2023, while 2024 saw her play a series of A Day On The Green dates in support of her childhood hero Missy Higgins. Following the release of ’92 Purebred’, Fields undertook a regional tour of the country from February to March.

Ruby Fields – ‘Half The Laugh’

Fields has pledged one dollar of every ticket sold to shows on her Half The Laugh tour will go towards the Kulai Pre-School Aboriginal Corporation. The indigenous pre-school, based in Coffs Harbour, “encourages children to take pride in their community and culture and recognises the importance of stories, songs and language for developing a sense of identity”.

Ahead of the tour, Fields is also set to perform at triple j‘s One Night Stand event in Busselton, Western Australia. Joining her on the line-up is Spacey Jane, Luude, 3%, Blusher, Velvet Trip and Fool Nelson. The event is set to take place in Barnard Park on Saturday, May 24th from 2pm.
