Australian dance crew RÜFÜS DU SOL will head out on a national tour in November and December 2022.
The Sydney trio’s latest album, Surrender, topped the ARIA charts upon its release in late October. It’s the group’s fourth album in total and third to make it to the number one spot. RÜFÜS’ only miss was with 2018’s Solace, which peaked at #2 and was later certified ARIA Gold.
The new record was preceded by the singles ‘Alive’, ‘Next To Me’ and ‘On My Knees’, all of which were embraced by the band’s audience, keeping their monthly streaming numbers up above five million.
The trio of Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George and James Hunt formed in Sydney in 2010 and immediately won the support of triple j with their EPs, RÜFÜS (2011) and RÜFÜS Blue (2012). The band’s ascent has been non-stop ever since—RÜFÜS recently performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live and appeared at the major US festivals Austin City Limits and Outside Lands in San Francisco.
RÜFÜS DU SOL are up for Best Group and Best Dance Release at this year’s ARIA Awards. Their 2022 tour will stop in to Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth.
