Sampa The Great, Courtney Barnett and a slew of other huge Australian artists have offered to lend their skills and know-how to a bunch of young aspiring songwriters as part of the 2021 edition of Song Writing Sessions.

The program is taking on a limited amount of participants, with applications open now until midday on Wednesday, 19th May. Any songwriters aged 14 – 25 will be able to apply, and they can be living/working anywhere in the country.
“Music has helped me express myself the best way I know how, especially in times when I could not articulate or communicate how I felt,” Sampa said in a press statement.
“It’s amazing to now have this opportunity to help coach young music makers in their musical journey.”
Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by Monday, 24th May. Then, successful applicants will be able to participate in the online program from Monday, 7th June – Friday, 25th June.
