There are many famous accounts of bizarre requests, demands, and purchases by famous musicians. From Van Halen‘s bowl of M&M’s with the brown ones taken out, to your run-of-the-mill tropical island paradise. But Snoop Dogg may be the first ever to attempt to rent an entire country.
According to Vulture, back in 2010 the rapper attempted to rent the country of Liechtenstein – as in all of it. Snoop apparently wanted to shoot a music video in the landlocked Central European microstate and figured it would make things easier if he simply rented out the entire country.
And despite the absurdity of the request, it could’ve happened. “We’ve had requests for places and villages but never one to hire the whole country before. It would have been possible, but Snoop Dogg’s management did not give us enough time,” said local property agent Karl Schwaerzler.
Just another day in the life of the Dogg, which he recently claimed has also involved smoking marijuana at the White House. During a recent episode of his web series, GGN: The Double G News Network, Snoop told Jimmy Kimmel that he smoked a joint in the bathroom during a recent visit.
