Something For Kate Announce Intimate Tour Warm-Up Show

Much-beloved Melbourne band Something For Kate begin their 20 Year Anniversary Tour in only a few days time, but have decided to preface their upcoming shows with an intimate warm-up performance in their home city, under the moniker of Max Planck And The Survival Experts.

The Paul Dempsey-led group have taken to their official Facebook page to announce that, “Much-loved Melbourne trio, Max Planck & the Survival Experts, will play a special show at the Prince Bandroom, Prince of Wales Hotel in St Kilda this Wednesday July 2nd to warm up for the Something For Kate 20th Anniversary Tour this month.”

The post also notes that tickets will only be available at the door, and that the first 200 people to pay the $25 ticket fee will also receive a copy of Something For Kate’s California CD single sampler from 2007.

“California was the first Something for Kate single to be released in digital format only – we have 200 physical copies of this sampler to give away featuring the band’s cover of Rock the Casbah,” the post reads. Aside from the cover of the classic Clash song, the sampler also features Cassandra Walks the Plank, the Matt Lovell mix of California and the T-Rek remix of Oh Kamikaze.
