Soundwave Sydney Presale Tickets Sold Out – Only 15% Of Tickets Left For General Public

If you’re keen to get a ticket to Soundwave 2013 in Sydney when it goes on sale next Thursday – you’d better be quick off the mark. Really quick.

The ‘members pre-sale’ for the festival – which stars Metallica, Linkin Park, Blink 182 and The Offspring – sold out earlier tonight, and with it went 85 per cent of the total tickets available for the Sydney leg, which will be held on Sunday, February 24.

When replying to fan Lia Mavrangelos, he mentioned that there were “about 15% left, which I am about to pull off sale and save for GP”. Check out his tweets below.

Pre-sales in the other cities go on sale over the coming days.

The huge amount of interest comes all before the second announcement is revealed – also due for next week. Already, Billy Talent, Gallows, The Blackout, Puscifier and The Chariot are confirmed for that.

Tickets to Soundwave 2013 go on sale 9am, Thursday, August 23 for all cities. Given how many have already been snapped up and the massive fanfare over the lineup, we won’t be surprised if Sydney sells out in under an hour.
