Steel Panther Announce 2016 Australian Tour

The world’s premiere ’80s hair metal revivalists Steel Panther have just announced they will be touring to Australia this June, promising “an all-out assault on your ears, moral standing and your private parts.”

Touring in support of the band’s acoustic album and first feature film Live From Lexi’s Mom’s Garage, the high octane and high haired extravaganza will be visiting the Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Auckland this June.

Featuring a ten song acoustic concert interspersed with comedic vignettes showcasing the band’s “unmatched shenanigans and debauchery”, the album/film is out now via the band’s own label Kobalt Records.

While the album might be acoustic, don’t expect the show to be, as the band have made it clear they’re bringing their full tilt crazy live show back to our shores since their last visit as part of Soundwave 2015. Having just wrapped out their own wildly successful UK tour, playing at Wembley Stadium and Download Festival no less, Steel Panther spirits are high.

More dedicated than ever to bringing metal back to the spotlight, as founder and vocalist Michael Starr put it, the band’s resolve has never lessened since their 2000 formation. “It’s actually gotten stronger. We’re not going to stop. I look forward to our continued world domination,” he said.

Find the full tour details below, and have a look back at some memories from the last time they were out here.
