It’s been two years since the release of Sticky Fingers‘ last album Land Of Pleasure but it looks like we won’t be waiting much longer for album number three.
The boys dropped into triple j to talk about the new record and also to premiere their new single Our Town which will hopefully pop up online soon.
Seamus Coyle from the band let hosts Veronica and Lewis know that the album is finished and was recorded in Thailand.
“It came up and it was like ‘ha ha ha, that would be pretty funny… Thailand’,” he said about the joke which actually became a reality.
While we don’t have a specific release date just yet they are looking at “late September”. At this stage it is untitled to the public and we have very few details about what to expect but they did drop the name of one artist featured on the record.
“[Remi]’s actually jumped on the record and done a collab on a song called Something Strange, and we just finished doing that about 5 days ago and it sounds cool,” Paddy Cornwall said casually.
The Newtown band now have a massive few months ahead of them with a slot at Splendour In The Grass and dates in Europe and the US.
If you see them live soon you’re likely to hear new single Our Town which will presumably feature on the album. It follows on from Outcast At Last.
