Strung Out Confirm Australian Tour For ‘Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues’ Anniversary

Thirty years later and still absolutely flooring it…

US punk-metal lifers Strung Out are heading back to Australia this September to celebrate three decades of their cult-classic album Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues – and yep, they’re bringing the whole high-speed chaos with them.

Strung Out – ‘Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues’

Originally dropping in 1996, Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues is one of those records that didn’t just age well — it straight-up refuses to slow down. Thirteen tracks, barely half an hour, zero filler. From the opening blast of ‘Firecracker’ to the final punch of ‘Wrong Side of the Tracks’, it’s all razor-wire riffs, melodic hooks and breakneck urgency — and it still hits like a truck in 2026.

Across ten albums and decades on the road, Strung Out have built a reputation as one of punk’s most relentless live acts — tight, loud, and no-nonsense. No nostalgia-for-the-sake-of-it here either — just a band that’s still operating at full throttle. This run will see Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues woven throughout the set, alongside fan faves from across their catalogue.
