Melbourne’s music and arts festival Sugar Mountain returns to a brand new venue this year, with a lineup headlined by Nas, and now organisers have released the 2015 event’s set times and map allowing punters to get properly organised for game day.
The 2015 festival will take place at the Victorian College of the Arts in Southbank, with three outdoor and two indoor stages hosting sets from the likes of Body/Head, a collaboration between Bill Nace and Sonic Youth co-founder Kim Gordon, as well as ODESZA, Ariel Pink, Swans and more.
The festival timetables present a few clashes posing difficult choices for punters. Nas’ headlining set, where he will perform Illmatic in its entirety, overlaps with sets from Dan Deacon and Soul Clap, while punters will have to choose between watching NYC noise icons Swans, ODESZA or the Midnight Juggernauts.
Sugar mountain have also announced that Nick Monaco has been added to the Boiler Room stage. The world’s biggest underground music show will broadcast live around the globe from 2.00pm to 9:00pm on festival day. This is only the second time Boiler Room has streamed live from a festival in Australia after making their debut at Sugar Mountain 2013
The festival will also host a solid lineup of visual artists, such as Australian graphic designer Leif Podhajsky, to couple influential and experimental music with forward-thinking art installations.
