More Sydney Venues Just Scored 30 Mins Off Their Lockouts

More Sydney hotspots have received exemptions from the city’s controversial lockout laws, which will allow them to stay open for an extra half-hour.

News Corp reports that 20 venues across Kings Cross and the CBD have now secured exemptions, with the likes of the Kings Cross Hotel and The Slip Inn joining venues which had already been granted exemptions, like Oxford Art Factory and World Bar. Peep the full list, below.

The exemptions allow the 20 venues to push back their last drinks from 3am to 3:30am, and their lockouts from 1:30am to 2am, and were granted after the venues proved that they provide live entertainment or wouldn’t see an increase in violence if they were granted an extension.

Other venues recently granted 30 minutes off their lockouts include the Burdekin Hotel and Chinese Laundry.

Venues can apply for lockout exemptions through Liquor & Gaming New South Wales.
