Sydney’s City Recital Hall Are Throwing A Special 20th Anniversary Concert Curated By Megan Washington

City Recital Hall has been a venerable institution in Sydney’s music and arts communities for 20 years. It’s hosted some of the biggest names in music throughout that time, including Paul Kelly, Bon Iver, Cat Power and The National.

Now, to celebrate their milestone, they’re holding a special concert curated by Australian songwriter Megan Washington on Wednesday, 30th October.

Washington will collaborate with electronic duo Electric Fields, pianist and composer Luke Howard and Brisbane quintet Topology for the We Are Twenty performance.

“I feel very lucky and honoured to have the opportunity to create something cool for this anniversary,” says Washington about the concert. “Twenty years is a major milestone and I am looking forward to creating an evening of music fit for such an occasion.”

City Recital Hall CEO Elaine Chia says “Twenty years of musical stories, thousands of performances and millions of music-lovers have all led to this moment. We thought about looking back, but it’s much more exciting to look forward. We Are Twenty will be about now, tomorrow and the future.”
