UK indie-rock quartet The 1975 were recently tearing up the country as a part of the Big Day Out 2014 lineup, touting around 2013’s self-titled debut full-length album. Since Australian audiences just haven’t had enough of the Manchester four-piece, they will be making their way here once again, playing a bunch of sideshows to compliment their Splendour In The Grass 2014 spot.
Critics world-wide have been thrilled by The 1975’s unique amorphous drifts between brooding rock, crisp electronica, dance floor R&B, and 80s gloss pop. Having already dominated the UK with catchy singles like The City, Sex, and Girls, The 1975 have become known for making music infused with impossibly catchy, utterly rhythmic, and intelligently pop flair.
