The Kid Who Played Zach In ‘School Of Rock’ Has Been Arrested For Stealing Guitars

Sometimes, actors struggle to truly let go of the character they dive so deeply into. It is safe to say that might be the case for Joey Gaydos Jr., who played Zach “Zach-Attack” Mooneyham in the 2003 classic School of Rock, as he has been arrested for stealing guitars.

The commitment to character is impressive. TMZ reports that Gaydos, Jr. is facing charges in Florida for larceny and grand theft. The kicker? He’s been deadset busted four times over the past five weeks for stealing guitars and an amplifier.

Police officers reportedly told TMZ that Gaydos, Jr. has been moseying on in to guitar shops, walking out with the guitars after testing them and then trying to unload them at pawn shops. Not the brightest kid in class, is he?

Gaydos, Jr. entered a plea of not guilty for thieving the guitars – no word yet on the amp – and has also admitted to police that he has a “drug problem.”

The total price of the guitars stolen comes to a collective US $3,400 so we think a little more than the rent was due for this one.
