The London five-piece The Maccabees have announced some Australian tour dates on the back of their appearance on the Groovin The Moo 2012 line-up. They will be performing headline shows across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth for their first trip to Australia.
After dropping their single Pelican in late 2011, new material is high on the agenda for The Maccabees in 2012 after the release of third album Given to the Wild.
Given To The Wild is the summary of two years of writing and recording, having followed second release 2009s Wall of Arms, which had them playing main stage slots at Reading and Leeds Festivals, and two sell-out shows at Brixton Academy.
