You’re The One That I Want is one of the most famous songs from musical-turned-film Grease, and the cheesy pop track has now been given a brutal death metal makeover which the world never knew it needed.
Andy Rehfeldt, who was behind that brilliant death metal version of Mary Poppins‘ Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, has turned his attention to Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta’s music video for You’re The One That I Want, overdubbing the original with some crunchy riffs and bone-crunching vocals.
Highlights from the video include Travolta growling “Sandy” in a metal-friendly gurgle, and the overdub’s intense finger-tapping guitar solos and kick-ass riffs.
Rehfeldt’s latest death metal makeover was written, performed and recorded by the man himself, with vocals contributions from his mates Thomas Hinds and Dori Kreisz.
Watch the brutality unfold, below.
