Thundamentals, Violent Soho Pull Out Of Big Pineapple Music Festival 2014

Written by Nastassia Baroni on January 10, 2014

Sydney hip hop crew Thundamentals and Brisbane’s Violent Soho have regrettably withdrawn from the Sunshine Coasts’s Big Pineapple Music Festival 2014 due to scheduling clashes.

The two bands were announced last month as part of the Saturday 17th May lineup which will still be headlined by crowd favourites The Living End and Bliss N Eso.

“Due to previous touring commitments Thundamentals will no longer be performing at the Big Pinapple Festival this year. Apologies to all the Thundakats in the Sunshine Coast looking forward to the show,” said the Thundamental crew in a statement.

Violent Soho added, “The festival has been great and the cancellation from the show is no fault of the promotors or the event, so we wish them all the best for the show in 2014 and to all the punters to have a rad time.”

One of the event’s directors Mark Pico apologised to ticket holders saying, “We would like to extend our deepest apologies to out punters and we thank you for your understanding, we ourselves are big fans of both acts and it is a pity to see them so although we do wish them all the best.”

Punters needn’t be too dismayed however, with progressive rockers Dead Letter Circus, MC Tuka and Melbourne duo Diafrix stepping up to the plate. Melbourne up and comers Lurch & Chief have also hopped onto the bill along with Queensland locals The Hi‐Boys and Hope Springs.

Event organisers have promised even more acts and surprises to come, so stay tuned to Music Feeds as they roll in.
