Triple M Is Launching A Full On ’90s Radio Station

Triple M is celebrating its 40th birthday in style, by launching a new station. The new radio station will be a total ode to the ’90s and launches next Monday, 20th July.

Triple M reckons they’ll be slinging some of the best tracks to come out of the ’90s and according to the press release, “some of which haven’t been heard on the radio in many years.”

They’re talking Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, Fatboy Slim, and the Chemical Brothers to name a few.

The new Triple M station joins the rest of the network’s DAB+ station options: Soft Rock, Country, Classic Rock, and Hard N Heavy. Triple M 90s will replace their Greatest Hits channel.

On the changeup, the network’s Head of Music, Hit and Triple M Networks, Mickey Maher, says, “The ‘90s was a turning point for the sound of rock, delivering so many awesome bands and songs, many unheard on Australia radio in years! Now you’ll hear them in one place, Triple M 90s on DAB+ radio.”

The new station will be available on the DAB+ network to Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and will be also be included as an additional station option in Perth.
