Trophy Eyes Announce ‘Chemical Miracle’ 10th Anniversary Australian Tour

Feel old yet? Trophy Eyes’ beloved second album Chemical Miracle is officially turning 10, and the Newcastle punks are marking the occasion by taking it back on the road.

Trophy Eyes have announced a special run of Australian anniversary shows celebrating their seminal 2016 LP, with the band set to perform Chemical Miracle from beginning to end.

Trophy Eyes – ‘Chlorine’

Released back in October 2016, Chemical Miracle marked a major turning point for Trophy Eyes, melding the raw punk foundations of their earlier material with soaring melodies and deeply personal songwriting to help establish the Novocastrians as one of Australia’s most exciting alternative exports.

Now, a full decade later, frontman John Floreani admits it’s difficult to wrap his head around just how much the record has come to mean to fans.

“Ten years,” Floreani reflects. “It’s difficult to put into words what Chemical Miracle has come to mean to us. When we wrote it, we were just trying to make sense of where we were in our lives. We never imagined those songs would find a place in so many other people’s stories too.”

And the tour isn’t the only bit of birthday business on the agenda.

Trophy Eyes and Hopeless Records will also release a special Chemical Miracle 10-Year Anniversary Edition on Friday, 13th November, promising fans the chance to hear some of their favourite tracks “as you’ve never heard before”.

There’ll also be an exclusive vinyl variant available early at the Australian anniversary shows, giving diehards another reason to get amongst it.

“We don’t get to celebrate milestones like this without you,” Floreani continues. “Thank you for giving this record a life far beyond what we ever expected.

“We can’t wait to experience it together again.”
